Limited edition, single cask, single malt whisky distilled by Chichibu Distillery in Saitama, Japan. Distilled from malted Propino and Concerto barley and fermented for 100 hours in Mizunara oak washbacks. It was distilled twice in Forsyth's copper pot stills and aged seven years in a first-fill bourbon barrel. One of just a handful of single cask releases exclusive to the US in 2024, Cask #5790 features label imagery from influential Edo period artist Kawanabe Kyōsai. Nicknamed “The Drawing Demon,” Kyōsai was Japan’s first political caricaturist and was credited for creating the first manga magazine. Limited US release of only 188 bottles. Non-chill filtered; 63.7% ABV.
