
Komagatake IPA Cask 2023
It is distilled from a vatting of unpeated malted barley and malted barley lightly peated to an average of 1.6 PPM. Aged an average of 3–4 years in ex-bourbon barrels before being finished for approximately 6 months in ex-IPA casks from Minami Shinshu that previously held Ogna. An expressive nose of fresh herbs, pineapple, and bitter citrus leads to a palate of ruby red grapefruit peel, candied orange, pine, and pineapple cake with a lightly smoky finish. Non-chill filtered; 52% ABV. 50ml. 1/2 pours available.
